| Why should we be Politically correct by saying Afro-American, Black-American, Mexican-American, Spanish-American, Asian-American, Jewish-American, Etc.???? I feel if we are going to be color blind, and racial blind. We should be American First. If we want someone to know or heritage or race, then it should become second. This Country was founded by people from different countries, that had different lifestyles and beliefs. This Country was founded that all men are created equal, or it has evolved to that. Since that time it has included women. In my opinion this means Human Rights. It doesn't mean everyone thinks, acts, or looks alike. The elimination of Racial and Religious discrimination needs to be done. Remember "All Men are Created Equal" Every Religion has been taught theirs is the best. Every Race has been taught theirs is the best. That alone is one of the biggest reasons why we have problems today. If we take the attitude that nothing can be done about it, then nothing will ever change. It will only get worse. Everyone should have the same opportunity for education, work, and Freedom to chose what they want to do. Violence is fast becoming a major factor in today's society. Everyone thinks the way to solve their problem is to fight, or to prove they are stronger. Without deterrents and punishment, this is going to grow until we have unchecked war among our fellow citizens. Violence is partially caused by the breakdown of our moral standards. It is now accepted to give our kids condoms in high school. Guns are accepted as well as knives. We cannot seem to stop them from being brought to school. The parents, educators, bosses, owners, only seem to care about their own needs. Maybe we should take responsibility for what is happening. How about stopping and thinking about the other guy instead of ourselves. There is a lot of hate in America No one should go around killing anyone. No one should violate another's rights. This country cannot go back to where it was 200 years ago. It would be nice to start over, interpret the laws of our land so that they stand for what they were originally intended to do. We have so many entitlement programs and so many special interest groups that has been given advantages, that it has become a way of life. President Kennedy included this into his speech, "Ask not what your Country can do for you, but what can you do for your Country" This is more of a problem now than it was then. Everyone wants a free ride. People on welfare should do some kind of work or service for their help. Prisoners should do some kind of service for their room & board. They have committed crimes, Why should they expect the people of the United States to support them. The English language was the language of the time of the writing of the constitution We need a constitutional amendment to make it our official language. We need to educate all people that want to become citizens. This will make communication a lot easier. Because we now have several languages being used. We have several separations of cultures and races. If we all learned the same language of the land, we would be able to communicate better. Anyone Illegally in the United States should be deported back to their own country. Anyone here legally should be encouraged to become a citizen. This is not mandatory, however non citizens should not have every advantage as a citizen does. We are giving away the reasons why our Country is so great. Children should be taught all of the great things our Country has to offer, not everything that is wrong with it. Do not misunderstand. They should be educated in all aspects of our Country. Between Politicians and Lawyers, most of what we do now is illegal or violates another's rights or freedom. It is time to wake up!!!!!!! Most people believe the above things are true. For those of you that are getting fed up with the system as it is. Try doing something about it. There is nothing wrong with the system There is nothing wrong with the laws The problems lies in what we have changed or interpreted it into. We need to become involved. Vote to make a change. Send the message that you are tired of things the way they are, and voice your opinion on the way things should be. We have all been put on this Earth and Country together. We need learn that we cannot put things back 200 years or change things that affect other races. We must learn to work and to relate to all people, all races, all cultures. If we can learn from other cultures and races, their problems, their beliefs. Then maybe we could understand more of other people and their aspects of life. I feel the key to this is dialog between people, is Talk - Talk - Talk. Communicate, talk to people, have discussions. Through dialog, hopefully things will become better. This is an update from JULY 4th 2001 About 4 years ago I started referring to our system as Economicalisim We are now pretty much free to go anywhere and think anything we want. That is about it We are subject to laws, prices, rules of employment. They dictate where we can live by what we can afford. The family unit has become a family where both the husband and the wife have to work to survive. The head of the family used to work for extra things. Now it is almost a necessity.
